Exark Building Layout Guide - Space, Placement and Neighbor Bonuses
Master Exark building layout: movable and immovable buildings, placement cap, neighbor bonuses, and grid optimization.
Why Does Building Placement Matter in Exark?
Exark’s ark has a limited grid, and where you put buildings directly affects your economy and survival. A building’s effect often depends on its exact coordinates on the grid, so smart placement is a core strategy.
Movable vs Immovable Buildings
| Type | Rule | Risk |
|---|---|---|
| Movable | Can be picked up and moved | There is a cap on movable buildings |
| Immovable | Once placed, cannot be removed | Powerful but inflexible; bad placement can lock you in |
Movable Building Cap
Your ark has a limit on the number of movable buildings. Once you reach it, you must clear old buildings before placing new ones.
Be Careful With Immovable Buildings
Some special buildings (often global-buff relic buildings) are immovable once placed. Think twice before placing them.
Neighbor Effects
Many buildings are affected by what is next to them. An industrial building may only activate near a farming building, and some towers deal more damage near your core.
Chain Reactions From Packing
Packing same-type buildings (like Guilds) can trigger global bonuses. Place high-value buildings in other buildings’ ranges to maximize bonuses.
Risk vs Reward: Ranging Too Far
Moving far gives more rewards, but enemies attack you longer. Their debuffs slow your loop, which can break your economy and collapse morale.
